Sign in with an Xtream Codes account, paste an M3U link, open a playlist file, or point Lumavu at your Jellyfin or Emby server. Each one gets its own colour, icon and refresh schedule, and they all sit side by side in the sidebar.

Scroll the guide in a grid with the channels pinned to the side, or switch to a list. Now and next sit on every channel. Where your provider supports it, catch up on something you missed, or start a programme again from the top.
When a stream drops, Lumavu finds another.
Playlists often list the same channel several times: 4K, HD and SD copies, backups, or the same channel in a second playlist. Lumavu folds them into one channel and starts with the copy you prefer.

Tap a tile to hear it, double-tap to go full screen. Lumavu knows how many streams each account allows, plays a channel from whichever playlist has one free, and starts a waiting tile by itself when a stream frees up.

Subtitles for live TV, written as it's spoken.
Turn them on and Lumavu listens to the channel and writes what's said, two lines at a time like broadcast captions, so nothing jumps while you read. It can translate as it goes, with the original shown small underneath.
Recognition and translation run on your device with Apple's own frameworks, so nothing is sent anywhere. There are about twenty languages, each downloaded once, the first time you choose it. Live subtitles need iOS, iPadOS, macOS or tvOS 26, and on Apple TV they're written but not translated.
Films and series, without the clutter.
Film and series pages open on their artwork, drifting slowly behind the words. Pick up where you left off and let the next episode start by itself. The tags providers stuff into titles, like (2026), (Turkish) and [4K], are lifted out and shown quietly underneath.

Does Lumavu come with channels?
No. Lumavu is a player. You add the IPTV playlists, Xtream Codes accounts or media servers you already have, and Lumavu plays them. If you're just curious, it can load a small set of free sample channels to try it out.
What can I add?
Xtream Codes accounts, M3U playlists as a link or a file, Jellyfin and Emby servers, and XMLTV guides. For Jellyfin and Emby, films and series are supported today. Live TV from those servers isn't yet.
Which video formats does it play?
HLS and MP4 play in Apple's own player, with Picture in Picture and AirPlay. MKV, AVI, raw MPEG-TS, WebM, RTMP and more play in Lumavu's second engine. It chooses for you and switches if a stream fails.
How many channels can I watch at once?
Up to four in Multiview, which is part of Pro. Your provider decides how many streams each account allows, usually one or two. Lumavu reads that limit and plays from another playlist when one account is full.
Is there Chromecast?
Not at launch. AirPlay works from iPhone, iPad and Mac.
